New headband kit

Norwegian Headband.
Knitting a headband is a great introduction to two color knitting. It is a small project you that knits up quickly. Our headband kits include a pattern with detailed instructions, a chart easy to read, two balls of Peer Gynt in the colors of your choice and one ball of cotton yarn for a none-itch lining. Learn to Knit Kit
The Learn to Knit Kit was developed by Dale for use in Norwegian schools. Geared towards children, it includes simple projects perfect for any beginner knitter. The kit contains 3 balls of Freestyle Yarn, one pair of straight needles US 8 and an instruction booklet teaching the basics of casting on, Continental knitting, decreasing, binding off and finishing techniques. Here is the newest addition to our Daletta hats. 17 degrees. Great introduction to two color knitting for those of you enjoying knitting with finer gauge yarn. Easy stitch repeat and short floats. Looks good in traditional or contemporary color ways.

As part of our Fall Clean Up we are selling discountinued colors of Daletta yarn from Dale of Norway at a very low price. We have just put out for auction lots of Daletta yarn starting at 99 cents a ball.
All the yarn is NEW.

If you are not familiar with the yarn, here are some facts:
Fiber content: 100% pure new Norwegian wool.
Gauge: 28 sts x 4 inches on US 3 or 4.
Yardage: 141 meters 154 yards per 50 gram ball.
Care: Machine washable. Do not use fabric softener.
Patterns: any pattern calling for Daletta yarn. Our complete Dale of Norway pattern selection found here. All patterns in English.

The garter stitch

The garter stitch is what you get when you work back and forth and knit all rows. It creates these purly ridges that are thick and soft. The cover outfit of Favorite Baby Designs 2 is a perfect example of a garment knitted in garter stitch. So simple, but so beautiful.
